
DaMarcus Beasley, a remarkable two-way player, possesses lightning speed, quick feet and intelligent defensive instincts. In March 1999, at 16 years and 10 months of age, he became the youngest player to sign a Major League Soccer contract. During his MLS stint with the Chicago Fire, DaMarcus was the first player under the age 21 to be voted to the MLS BEST XI list. In addition, he was named one of the World Soccer Magazine’s "TOP 100 RISING STARS" in the world! After four years with the Chicago Fire, DaMarcus began his international career in a multi-million dollar transfer to PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch league of Holland. He instantly adapted to European play becoming a consistent goal scorer. His debut dream season with PSV was capped by capturing the Domestic Double, winning the Dutch Eredursie title and Amstel Cup. DaMarcus continued his professional career in Europe playing on loan for Manchester City of the English Premier League. In the summer of 2007 with multiple clubs vying for him, his rights were sold to the Glasgow Rangers of the Scottish Premier League, where he made an impact upon arrival. In addition to his club commitments, DaMarcus was a star player for the U.S. National Team. Exploits for club and country made him a finalist for the 2005 U.S. Soccer Male Athlete of the Year. He played a key role in the USA’s qualification for the 2006 FIFA WORLD CUP. He displayed his prowess by scoring four goals, which tied him for third highest number of GOALS scored by a U.S. player. DaMarcus is looking forward to this summer as he will participate in his third World Cup as a member of the 2010 U.S. National Team.
